The world cup has arrived and brands have well and truly caught the football fever.
You may have read our previous news piece about how the fast food giant McDonalds had incorporated the world cup festivities within their packaging – well, we are not surprised to see another brand has jumped on the football packaging bandwagon.
The luxury champagne house Tattinger, who is the games official supplier of sparkling wine, has introduced a limited edition bottle especially for the tournament.
The brand, who previously won the accolade of the ‘Carton of the year 2012’ at the ProCarton packaging awards, have updated their winning packaging to celebrate the event. The carton was previously decorated with holographic champagne bubbles but these have now been transformed into footballs for the World Cup version of the Brut Reserve champagne.
Clovis Tattinger, the company’s export director, has stated the brand’s delight in being involved with this year’s World Cup: “It’s a momentous occasion for us to be associated with such a major event as the football World Cup. We’ve used the latest in both printing technology and 3D printing to create both the unique bottle and the carton”.
Tattinger is one to watch out for in the final, where the bubbles are sure to flow when the winning team is crowned.
