It’s been another manic month at Wessex Packaging HQ as we’ve been trying to keep up with all the orders. But all the hard work has been worth it as we can report that March was our best ever month! The team have all worked their socks off to keep up with the demand and it’s a great result. Pats on the backs all round! To help take the pressure off and to increase how much work we can do, we have invested in a large new bandsaw which will increase our production capacity and capabilities.

And in the packaging industry news it seems that the whole world has gone Royal Wedding mad with bespoke packaging design everywhere! The Bensons Group has launched commemorative Pieminister pies, Quality Street have designed a limited edition tin and Swizzels have a limited edition Kate & Wills Lovehearts pack. Our favourite has got to be the Waitrose Summer drinks range with a ‘Catherine Peach & Williams pear smoothie’! The patriotic spirit has even got Hovis launching a Union Jack bread bag design aimed to plug into national excitement surrounding the wedding.
