Neopolen has two forms, Neopolen® P (EPP) and Neopolen® E (EPE). Neopolen® P (EPP) is polypropylene foam consisting of expanded, primarily closed-cell foam particles. It is supplied to molders in the form of loose beads for processing into a wide variety of foam parts on automated processing equipment.

Neopolen® E is more widely used due to its wide-ranging properties and excellent processability. Its ideal cushioning properties, high resilience and outstanding elasticity make Neopolen® E one of the preferred materials for packaging, load-bearing elements, suitcase inserts and sports mats. The properties of Neopolen® E are exploited in many other fields such as automotive engineering, in pipe insulation and in the sport and leisure sector.

Wessex Packaging have been the only company with the exclusive rights to import Neopolen into the UK for the past 7-8 years and have an excellent relationship with BASF Germany. BASF Germany is the third largest chemical company in the world and delivers raw materials to the packaging industry.

As well as supplying Neopolen to the UK market, Wessex Packaging also specialise in bespoke packaging solutions and supply products such as polyurethane foam and polyethylene foam.
