Wessex Packaging makes the most of our new machinery

Here at Wessex Packaging we have recently invested in a new press machine. Adding this valuable piece of high tech machinery will enable us to increase productivity, efficiency and over all capacity when it comes to our line of foam packaging products.

This new piece of machinery is a 60 ton fixed head cutting press, these fixed beam cutting presses are great for areas of work that are bigger and require larger cutting forces. It also enables us to cut sheets in both single layers or in layers of multiple sheets. This has enabled us to work to a greater capacity and allowed us to increase our production of foam products and our cardboard packaging.

The machine utilises hydraulic pressure to cut through the multiple or single layers of material that have been slid under the cutting beam. The new machine provides fantastic even cutting and has provided a great number of time saving benefits to us here at Wessex Packaging. We look forward to expanding out machinery in the future to incorporate more similar machines.
