This month the team at Wessex Packaging were very excited to have taken delivery of a new large industrial compressor. This will run all the compressed air tools and equipment in the factory and shows our ongoing commitment to investment and efficiency.
We also want to take this opportunity to tell our customers about a very special product that they may not be aware of. Polyethylene foam is a class of thermoplastics that is found in a huge range of consumer products. In its foam form, polyethylene is used in packaging as it very good to work with as it can be die cut, welded, glued or even routed. At Wessex Packaging we have been using polyethylene packaging for years and stock it in a number of different grades to be able to pack as many different sized and shaped packages as possible. Many packaging manufacturers use polyethylene foam to protect breakable objects because it is typically 28kg in density and can protect even heavy and larger items.
