The UK Packaging Awards 2012 Entries Open For November

The 2012 UK Packaging Awards are now taking entries for this year’s event with even more going on and new categories added!

The UK Packaging Awards are a prestigious award ceremony for people in the packaging industry and are there to reward companies for their business performance, strategy, innovation and environmental programmes. The awards are judged by an independent panel of buyers, specifiers and consultants who have years of experience within the packaging industry.

The entries opened on the 1st March and the closing date is the 1st June. The award ceremony will take place on the 14th November at London’s Hilton in Park Lane.

This year, UK Packaging Awards have added 4 new categories which are:

Performance Awards

·        Rising Star Award – This award looks at emerging talent in the industry who have made a significant contribution in their first 5 years in the profession.

·        Contract Packer of the Year – this is for the company who has demonstrated the best overall business performance in the contract packaging sector.

Quality Awards

·        International Sourcing Award – As the title suggests, this award will go to the company we feel has demonstrated the most innovative and effective packs sold in the UK.

·        Best New Concept Award – This award is one of the most exciting and will recognise the most ingenious invention which hasn’t even made it into the market yet. They need to show that they solve a significant issue or are a technological or structural advancement.
