Tea firm Tetley has announced that the new packaging for its decaffeinated tea will be environmentally friendly, saving space and reducing wastage all in one.
So what have they changed? Quite a lot actually!
They will replace the carton packaging wrapped in cellophane to a more “soft pack” with laminated paper which will also be re-sealable; preserving the iconic taste and smell in between cups.
This also means that more will be able to fit on the average shop shelf.
Tetley say that the new packaging means that waste will be reduced by an amazing 30%.
Other changes include clearer labelling on the front of the packet denoting the type of tea (nothing’s worse than buying caffeine-free tea when one wants a traditional cup!) and bigger pack size labelling.
We look forward to seeing how this new packaging will be received by Tetley’s millions of customers.
