It is nearly that time of the year again, the time when we break off the shackles of our New Year resolutions to lose weight and the pledges we made to avoid of some of the confectionary delights we cherish.
 
That is right, Easter and the inevitable annual chocolate gorge is nearly upon us.
 
However, since we are packaging specialists we want to take a look at brands that are delivering the very best Easter packaging around.
 
It is going to be a good read so hold onto your egg shells folks! 

The Happy Egg companies Easter makeover

The happy egg company have really embraced the holiday theme by launching limited edition Easter packs.
The inspiration for their makeover comes from the desire to inspire baker lovers to cook some tasty and creative Easter dishes.
 
The iconic sunshine kissed egg cartons include Freda Roam, their hen mascot, stylishly sporting bunny ears and sees the companies brand name aptly replaced with ‘the happy Easter egg co.’

Marmite Easter eggs are here

Marmite have ambitiously launched a Marmite flavoured Easter egg that will consist of, you guessed it, marmite and chocolate!
 
Marmite have also ensured that the well-known red and black brand colouring on the egg shell like packaging has remained.
 
At Wessex packaging, we are not quite sure whether this concoction will taste heavenly divine or will be better suited to the back of the kitchen cupboard to be long forgotten.
 
One thing is for sure, though, you will either love it or hate it.

Pot Noodle get their own stage this Easter

Pot Noodle, that is right, Pot Noodle have launched their own Easter egg. The Pot Noodle flavoured Easter eggs comes with a ceramic Pot Noodle mug encased in a cereal box like packaging.
 
Once again, we have to question whether it is going to taste good but either way it is certainly a creative idea to say the least.

If there is one message that should be taken away from this blog it is to be creative.
 
While we do not necessarily recommend mixing out of the ordinary flavours together, we certainly think it is important to stand out in an ever increasingly saturated market.
 
This does not just revolve around flavours but also packaging. Clever aesthetic touches and apt brand taglines can make all the difference in the eye of a consumer.
